Does privacy window film work at night?
Daytime one-way mirror film relies on the outside being brighter than the inside, so after dark — with interior lights on — the effect reverses. For 24-hour privacy we recommend frosted or blackout film on the panes that need it, or pairing mirror film with blinds at night. We walk you through the honest trade-offs during the on-site estimate.Will window film make my apartment too dark?
Not unless you want it to. Films come in a full range of visible light transmission (VLT) levels, including nearly clear ceramic films that reject heat and UV with almost no visible change. During the estimate we hold samples directly against your glass so you see the exact shade before committing.Can security film actually stop a break-in?
Security film does not make glass unbreakable — it anchors the shattered pane in its frame, turning a two-second smash-and-grab into a loud, slow forced entry that most intruders abandon. Often yes — especially reflective exterior-facing films that change the building’s look. Yes. We strip failed, bubbled, or purple-faded film, clean off the adhesive residue, and either restore the bare glass or install new film. If the glass underneath turns out to be cracked or fogged, we can replace the pane in the same visit.How much does window film installation cost?
